I have never once managed to get the overburn utility to work in Nero: I use Verbatim 700mb cdr's. Nero 7 ultra. LG cd writer and/or a lite-on multi format dvd/cd writer. I follow the usual steps outlined in various guides, but the end result is always the same "disc isn't large enough" even though the files fall within the range of the overburn parameters (say, 799mb video files). These are the basic settings I have adhered to: Enable disc at once overburning Absolute size 84.00.00 Enable short lead out. Am I missing something perhaps? I know it's difficult to say without more info; just wondering if anyone might know something obvious. Cheers.

The obvious thing here is that the disc isn't large enough.

Now you can overburn 700MB discs, but not as much as 799MB. You need 90 min (or 800 MB) CDR's for that to work. In that case you still need to overburn. It's standard to write sessions of 650MB or 700MB, this is what all burners are made to do. Now there are 800MB CDR's out there, which will allow you to cram more on the disc, when you overburn it with the writer. Although most writers support overburning like this, its not always a fact that they do. So make sure you have the media and the drive to do overburning. Hope this helps.
