I just tried using version 140 (at this moment the latest release) on the following three titles:

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem
Juno
In The Name Of The King: A Dungeon Siege Tale

and in all three cases, using full disc mode, the program just disappeared right off the screen one second after clicking on start. (as noted in previous posts)

Using movie only mode I got the box mentioned in other threads here to pop up that said something like CSS Copy Protection, Program cannot continue, or something like that.

LUCKILY, I saved the last installation file prior to 140 that I had installed on my system (ver. 137) and I downgraded back to it. All three titles worked flawlessly in full disc mode.

So, my 'Captain Obvious' statement for the night is: release 140 ain't working like it's supposed to. It appears that this is a known issue that I'm sure the almighty digi will fix soon. But in the meantime, if anyone has prior installation files saved, try them in place of release 140 if you just can't wait and you might get lucky like I did.
