Hello

I amusing DVDReMake Pro 3.6.3

I am having a warning while trying to merge two DVDs. The warning is as follows:

Quote:

WARNING: Different VMG streams detected. This may have an undesired effect on the playback of the DVD.

I am not really sure what does it mean as I am completely new in this merging (my second try to be exact).

My intention is: Merge two DVDs into one and then Shrink it to fit in a DVD5. I am not much bothered about the quality in this case, so I am ready to compromise quality over size.

So could some one please tell me what should I do? Should I proceed or not? And how can I get rid of this warning?

Please help. Sad

Thank you.

The different streams warning indicate that there is either different source's aspect ratio and/or different audio/sub streams. What is in the VMG of each DVD? You could ignore the warning if the content is not important for playback. You can hide the blocks as well if they're not needed.

Sorry again, but I could not understand what you are asking me to do...

I tried to merge the two DVDs overlooking the warning, but I found that the resultant DVD can not be played even in VLC. As VLC is failing, it clearly indicates that I must have done something wrong...Sad

Select Video Manager in the DVD tree. On the right window, there are blocks in the Domain Content pane. What are they: FBI warning, commercial, menus, etc.? In the Video pane, what is the display mode? How 'bout in the Audio Tracks pane - what's the track info? The same for SubPicture Tracks as well.

List this out in each DVD. Should any of these info is different, you will get a warning when merging.

If there is any block that you do not want, right-click on that block and 'Hide block' - that's what I mean to hide/blank a block you don't want.
