I was just attempting to use the program with Shoot 'Em Up DVD and everything was working fine. Then, at 96% through the rip I received the following error box on the screen:
------------------------
Status= Check Condition
Medium Error Detected!
If this occurs again then try using the 'Nero-Burn Engine' instead
CIRC UNRECOVERED ERROR
-------------------------
Then your only option is to click the OK button.
I thought I was screwed but when I hit OK, it went straight to the burn and to my surprise, the backup came out fine and played perfectly both on computer and in living room dvd player (except in the living room it took a LONG time to load, almost 90 seconds, but otherwise played fine)
Has anyone else ever had this happen to them and/or know what it means/what causes it?
I just loaded the latest version right before this happened, too. (3.9.1.121)
???

i just bought Shoot em up and I was trying to rip for my plane ride overseas but i keep getting an error message that the program can't open the temporary folder/shoot em up/.....
is this a problem with the program or did new line cinema recently upgrade their hardware?

| I am looking for answers much like you are. Sounds like you are experiencing a different problem then me because even with my error message I still got a good backup out of it, surprisingly. Don't know why you'd be getting that message, but it could be upgraded copy protection so make sure you are using the most updated version. As of yesterday the latest was 3.9.1.121 Hopefully one of the mods or someone else here can help you further.

Hey Sringray
Yeah I've gotten that message before, but to be honest I just ignored it when I probably should have sent an error log to Digi.
If you still have the Dvd I would suggest you burn again and when you get the error send a log, so whatever is causing it can be corrected.
Just a thought

There was no log to send.
>> StingrayJG - I still got a good backup out of it
I have exactly the same problem w/ error at 96% while in movie only mode, BUT only 1.4gig of content was burned, where it should have been closer to double, the movie was complete, but compression was very high. We've all seen this before, be assured Digi can fix it.
Whether in movie only or full - movie quality said 72%.
Complaint: At finish I selected NO to Burn & it went straight to burn section (with this movie).
Complaint: Redundant asking if you want to save the files (twice) - when things work normally.
Complaint: I do not like 'Fit to DVD' being Mandatory (but appreciate the automated mode).
I tried other non-Automatic ways and got various errors... cannot open \video_ts\VTS_01_0.IFO, to dvdcopy will be changing the transcoding-disc-size automatically from...
Until Digi does an update... If your main concern is Main Title, This is an option:
Movie Only Mode: error at 86% - just continue on
title set 1 = 85% = 3.2 gig
title set 4 = fit to DVD
deselect the rest - reported movie quality = 97%

| If what you're asking is where do you find your log files, go to the DVD95Copy folder on your computer (should be C:\Program Files\Dvd95Copy in most standard installs) and inside that folder there should be a text file named DVD95Copy. This contains a text file of all your sessions using DVD95Copy, just like the one I posted here.

WHen you burn and get an error, or notice anything funny, just right click on the Dvd95copy icon on your taskbar. YOu will notice the last option down is send log file. Just click on that and it will be sent in for you
