I have used Verbatim CD's that I get at Sam's to burn audio CD's. I buy the 100 disc pack. There is a weekly radio show that I like to record off the net and playback on my car CD player or my home stereo. So I record the audio on my computer and then burn it to CDR.
During playback, when the CD gets near the end of and hour of playing (ie the last few tracks) there is a click, pop almost like a pop on old albums. It is very annoying. Sometimes the player will just not be able to read the CD and just stops.
The popping occurs every time I record if I go back and listen at a latter date. It doesn't seem to be a problem the first time I play it back. It is never a problem on the first several tracks. It doesn't do this on my computer, only on sound systems. I sometimes can never get it to play on my car system. This never used to be a problem years ago.
I have changed a lot of things but not the CD's themselves. I suspect that these Verbatim disks are just not good enough to do audio. Any wisdom among you on this issue? I can't believe that I am the only one. |
