| Fer what it's worth, I remember trying 321 eons ago and it did an insert cell to place it's own warning splash in the ts.vob. That alone offsets the cell structure in itself, without DRM the only thing I can think of trying is VOBlanker and blank the whole ts.vob entirely but then you'll be faced with needing Nero or CopyToDVD for the burn process. The only thing usually in my experience with skiping is the last cell in the ts.vob needs to be cut and auto bypassed. N. |

|
|
| Well guys, after about 50 attempts a new DVD player, numerous discs, all different brands, I still cannot edit this friggin movie. During my downtime from kill bill I have used DRM on count them again 25 different movies, each one plays fine. I have re rented KB2 from netflix, blockbuster and my local cheapo video store, to no avail, skips all the time. I did for a moment though thought I had I made. did the edits, removed most of the movie as Mackem suggested it played fine, the only special feature I wanted to keep played, the movie started fine, first three chapters played great, I let out a cheer, then it skipped. I know I could have gone out and bought the movie, with the amount of time I have put into this, but that is not the point is it............................ Still scratching my head, and off to the fridge for a brew |

| Ok, finally got kill bill to work. It is my standalone player that was causing the problem. Had access to a small portable unit, plug it into my TV, tossed in the problem disc, and viola, it played:) |

Don't want to be picky, but "it runs on a different" player just shows that something is wrong with the created DVD that one player cares about and the other doesn't. Same as with my Scary Movie problem. DVDRemake makes the backup skip on my Sony (where no other backup has skipped before , but it doesn't skip on other players. It might as well happen that someone buys a new player and suddenly some Remake-Backups are not playable anymore because they're skipping. Therefore I don't think these problems should be just ignored, because some players can play these discs. |

| does anyone know what happens if you run the skipping DRM output through DVDShrink at No compression? if anyone wants to try and it works then send me the NAVPacks etc and I will look at them and I may be able to spot whats going on |

, I was hoping by the off chance it would so I could take a look unless someone wants to donate a Sony player along with a copy of Kill Bill 2 then I can't really help I suppose I could take a quick look at the Navpacks from the original and a DRM output if someone still has them handy as maybe it may slap me in the face as to what's causing it |

| I have same KB2 skipping problem with Sony DVCPX985. Copies play just fine on numerous non-Sony players. Used DVDDeCrypter to rip. IFOEdit is happy with the rip. Used DVD2One to shrink. IFOEdit is happy with the compressed version. Burner is Sony dru500A with latest firmware. Both Gear and Copy2DVD burn results same [skip]. Maxell, Philips, ESA DVD-R media all the same [skip] results. Tried DVD-RW...[skip] Tried DVDShrink and 1X burn speed...[skip] Never seen this with numerous other movies; indeed, process works reliably...other than this. What's Tarantino got against Sony? |
