|
|
Hi, first post, so please be gentle!!
I'm trying to combine some shorter pre-authored DVD's whilst keep the original menu structure(Home made, not commercial ones). I've followed the tutorials and all seems to go ok- but when I play back the DVd in my software player (Cyberlink PowerDVD)from the files it creates on the HDD, it just goes straight into the first title- no selection menu, no main menu, nothing. If I right click the screen while it's playing, there is an option to go to main or root menu showing, but if I click either, it returns me to the PowerDVD splash screen.
I'm probably missing something very simple here, but if anyone can
point it out to me I'd very much appreciate it.
BTW- can DVD ReMake Pro combine PAL and NTSC on one disc (i.e. I've got one NTSC pre-authored dis and one PAL one)

Welcome to the forum, deadwing.
What version of DvdRemake are you using? Pro? Did you use the Merge feature? Are you talking about the DvdReMake menu or the DVD's original menus?
Yes, you can combine PAL and NTSC in one disc.

Thanks for the reply
Version 3.14 Pro. I'm running Vista Home Premium
Yes, I used the merge feature. The steps I followed was this
imported first DVD, imported second DVD, hit merge then select project 1 and project 2. I do notice at that sdtage I've got this message in the 'Status' box
"WARNING: Different VMG streams detected. This may have an undesired effect on the playback of the DVD."
I then hit the merge button which then produces a tab for 'Project 3' and then hit 'export DVD' and leave it to do it's thing.
I do notice that in the left pane on project 3, the video manager is in red text, everthing else is black. Screengrab attached

You're using a very outdated version. Go to dimadsoft and download the latest version.
In the VMG domain, you have 2 menu languages. One is English, one has no language defined. Are they essentially the same? If they are, delete the one with no language.
Does project 1 and 2 each have a video content in VMG? What format is project 1 and 2 - NTSC or PAL? AFAIK, you cannot mix NTSC and PAL content in one VMG; must be one or the other.
