lol hey i know this might sound stupid but i downloaded marks dvd tray player and it doesn't show the video but you can hear the sound. do i have to load some type of plug-in/codec for it to work
yes you do and it can be a real pain! I havent had it installed on this review machine for a while so the exact combination escapes me....but i know a man who has those codecs ( ahem macker ) Please see this thread where oldeman informs us that he needed to switch to win 98 compat mode to make it work on XP: http://cdr-zone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=890 Good luck, im sure Mackemx will be here soon

lol i was really hoping to see what mark's dvd tray player had to say, but i guess that isn't going to work just yet......i am using directX9, also i am using XP as the OS. I have switched it to 98 compatibility mode which seems to make it a lot less buggy, but still can't see any video. Is there an other program that will play the files test exported by DVDremake, like mark's dvd tray player? i can't quite seem to get anything here to work thanks

hey cool thanks a lot mackemX..... what fixed was installing winDVD 6. also, by before and after .IFO.... i assume you mean the .IFOs from the ripped iso and the .IFOs from what was exported by DVDremake Also, for the exported files, just trying to play the video_ts.ifo file would just freeze both dvd tray and powerDVD and i am a little confused about the VOB's being the same size you mean all the VOB's in the remake export folder............. or the matching VOB's from the unDVDremaked disc and the VOB's in the exported folder. regardless the VOB's are not the same size in either case As for the logs, for the exported .IFO i saved the log right up until it froze and for the working .ISO i saved everything from right after starting play back to about a minute into the main movie

I see MackemX has taking his shift on the helpdesk Laughing I'll try running the Replica version through remkae tommorrow morning, and see how that comes out. On the rest I can't comment, as it's 4 AM here, so I can't follow the story anymore. That might also be due to a number of other influences tonight. Having a friend who has his own pub/bar has it's up- and down-sides. 1 of the downside is, you don't understand dvd-structure to well anymore. Twisted Evil But I'll read it tommorrow morning, and get back to you.

hi mirx, it would be extremely helpful to hear what you have to say since you actually have the movie and have done this already with Hellboy, not to mention that fact you know a lot more about this than i do and could provide better insight to MackemX on what exactly is going on here. thanks again everyone you have all been a super great help and i am sure will be able to help me sort this problem out
