I've encounter a strange behaviour with one of my latest projects I'm working on. First of all, I must say that this situation only occure when I play this exported project on both my standalone players (both of a different brand). So testing it with IFOedit and WinDVD doesn't show this situation! - In this projects I've only hide some moviematerial like warnings, trailers and other extra features. - No alternation on the DVDstructure and menu structure. So here's my story: - Playing this project with my standalone works well, until I reach the main menu. - So when I select one of the available buttons, the DVD jumps to that specific submenu for a "split second" and then my screen goes black! But all of the available buttons in that particular submenu are selectable and could be activated! The only thing I can see on my screen is only a moveable reactangle figure that indicate that on that place there should be a active button. - So somewhere in this proces I lost my background image. The "cell time" value of this still frame picture is "infinty". Any idea what this could cause? Camino

This has been discussed before on this forum. Do a search, but I don't think there was a solve for it. Which version are you using. http://cdr-zone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=890 http://cdr-zone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=901

For the moment I'm using release 2.3.4 But...I don't think this problem is caused by DRM. Why? Because I've transcoded the original DVD material with DVD2One to one single DVD-5 size. Burned this stuff and guess what... Still the same problem with my standalone players. I had a little bit of hope that there was some kind of solution for this problem of mine. Sad But it's strange that this material works flawless with WinDVD and IFOedit DVDplayer. Camino

I've noticed this with all the Back To The Future DVD's ages ago in 2003 well before DVRemake was around and PowerDVD was the player I used For some reason my sub menu's would not appear yet the buttons were still active even playing the rip before modification. If I selected yet another sub menu and return to the root it would then appear I don't have a suggestion for a fix though Sad but if I get the time (and hard drive space) I'll rip my Back To The Future DVD again and have another look at it Wink maybe something like using DVDShrink to extract (using reauthor) just that menu and then replacing the Cell in DRM may do it for example

I've just stuck the original Back To The Future DVD in and played it with PowerDVD and it's exactly the same!! so it's definitely PowerDVD that is having some sort of issue with this type of disc
