Hi,
I must say this is not a problem of dvdremake, because this dvd seems to have some issues.
The DVD is a NTSC american movie to which I want to add another audio stream (as a matter of fact, I want to change one of its audios for another one I have in my PC). That's why I want to use dvdremake
I'll try to summarize my experience with this dvd:
-It's perfectly playable in my PC.
-I can rip it with dvddecrypter or smartripper. I can't rip it with dvdfab.
-I can't demux it well with pgcdemux. It says the demux is finished but
the resulting m2v is quit smaller than the original.
-I can't open it with dvd shrink. It says invalid dvd navigation structure.
-I tryed FIXvts without succes
-I ripped it with clonedvd and anydvd. Clonedvd took some time fixing the navigation structure. Then I already could open this ripped dvd with dvdshrink and also demux it with pgcdemux. But chapter 13 was missing.
-If I load the original dvd in dvdremake this same chapter is missing too. The problems written in log have nothing to do with that, I think, I'm not sure:
Log: Read VTS1
Recovering C_ADT & VOBU_ADMAP tables. (818:VobData.cpp)
Cell #19 uses vobus (vobID=1, cellID=20) not pressent in vob file. Substituting blank cell instead. (2114:PGC.cpp)
This is a description copyed from ifoedit. The chapter that is missing is number 13, cell 14, just after the layer brake. By the way, chapter 19 it's not a real chapter. It's too small. That may be what dvdremake log is refering to.

How do you substitute with another audio stream? After properly ripped, demux with PgcDemux and remux with MuxMan with chapter info (celltimes.txt)?
How 'bout rip it with RipIt4Me? Maybe it helps. Then demux with PgcDemux for cell 14 only to see if it's really there.
Chap 19, cellID 20 is just one second long. DRMP is substituting it with a blank cell. |

I want to replace the Spanish american audio for the Spanish of Spain audio I have from a diferent dvd. But that's not the problem. I'm curious about what makes that chapter disappear. Probably it's not referencied in the ifo or something like that, I'm not an expert in dvd structure.
I ripped cell 14 with smart ripper and it's there. As a matter of fact I've just managed to demux the whole m2v and audio strems with Smart ripper. With DVDDecrypter, and dvdfaber and pgcdemux that was impossible. They only demuxed a bit of the whole m2v.
So I've almost sorted the problem out thanks to smart ripper. If I remux the whole movie I can fix the dvd. The only problem now is I can't get the subtitles sup files and mux them with muxman, because I can't get the sup with pgcdemux. Pgcdemux can't rip them, not even from the sub vob ripped with smart ripper. Then I'm going to try to demux the subs with Subrip and remux the dvd with Scenarist |

| You can try using DVDSubEdit to extract the subs from files ripped by Smartripper, and mux with MuxMan. See if this method helps. |
