Shocked
I work in a school and the DVDs in our library have been badly damaged, despite only being viewed 10 - 20 times. They are all damaged in the same way - a patch of serious wear/scratching in a circular shape around the hub.

I realise that this could be down to something as simple as the cases (in which case, what type of case would you recommend to minimalise this?) or even the clumsy ham-fisted students not taking care of the discs. However, the circular pattern of damage occurring across so many discs made me wonder if it was indicative of anything else. Could it be something to do with the students' hardware? Does any burning process cause this sort of damage?

I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this.
