help! I have a sony dw-u50a dvd burner I installed on my sony vaio. But when I insert a disk it does not read but only makes a buzzing noise. the light blinks off and on and then stays off. i don't think it is spinning either.
well i have tried many things including uninstall, reinstall, vaio support for the device, cleaning the lens, etc. also checking whether to see if the computer recognizes the device which it does. basically i need to determine if the drive is bad or not. any help out there???[/b]

hey does anyone out there have any ideas? I'm new to this forum so help me out. Do you think its defective? Drive does not spin, only makes an intermittent buzzing noise.
