so why wasn't i notified at my e-mail address regarding this new version? as a registered owner of dvd95 copy i learned of this new version on the dvd95copy forum of the digital video forums webpage. is this an indication of a decline in support and service in regards to this product?
just wondering.

To my knowledge, you are never notified via e-mail of new updates and never have been. But if you are connected to the internet at the time that you open the DVD95Copy program, it automatically checks for updates and if there is one, you will get a pop up message saying that there is a newer version available and to go to the website to download it if you wish. That's how I found out about this latest update (ver 3.9)

If you read the history above, this is actually an enhancement of support and service, as the program did not even do that for you until the ver 3.8 update 10/02/06. Before that it was mostly word of mouth through the forums to find out if an update was issued. Between digi and the moderators and contributors to these forums, there is quite a bit of support and help here for 95Copy. They've been very helpful to me in the past and I don't expect that will change.

Although when I got here, I was a bit surprised to hear that the reason for the update was to address problems with Casino Royale. I made a perfect backup of that DVD in full disc mode before I loaded the 3.9 update. Guess I was lucky somehow.

yes, there was an e-mail notification until several months ago.

his server is so bad,it was just too much for it to handle i think.

I was the one with a problem with CR,new version fixed it.

I got an error, a "program exception", after aknowledgeing the error,it did successfully back up the disc, but all my preferences where blanked out. very weird.

I am having a problem using the new version, 3.9, on my computer. The program opens up fine, but when I start the process to decrypt a DVD, the program quits. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still the same problem. So I decided to go back to 3.8 for now since that seems to work fine on my computer. Any reason why 3.9 is NOT working on my computer? All previous versions worked fine, so I don't know what the problem could be. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Computer specs: Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, SP2. AMD Athlon 64 Processor, 1.99 GHz, 1.37GB of RAM
