I was burning an iso to a dvd and when it was done it wouldn't ejecct
After a few minutes and a couple of reboots i had to manually pull the tray out and my new disk was gouged beyond repair. It constantly tries to go out and back in. Maybe i'm wrong but i'd say its pretty much trashed.

my question is what should i buy??? dvd burner? hd-dvd player? I have no idea what brand drive would be the fastest/cheapest so i hope somebody can help. Its a desktop running Ubuntu Linux if there could be a compatibility problem.
