I was looking for a good slideshow maker and found this one. I downloaded the latest demo off the website this morning. I loaded 100 photos and set comments on some, and left the filename comment on as well. I ran the preview and it worked fine. I figured I would like to buy the product and make a slide show with all 200 photos from my Europe trip so I did so. I load all my photos and do everything the same. I watch the preview and the subtitles show up at the bottom and look great. I click to write a DVD to hard drive first (dont wanna waste a dvd). I watch it (I use VLC Player) and the subtitles are gone. The video quality is great, but there are no subtitles through the entire first 5 minutes. Then a bit further in I have a subtitle that two lines long (its a bit verbose) and I see it! Its just the tops of the letters, and the rest is missing. Its only that one slide that has it, but thats the only slide with a two line long subtitle. Flipping through the other subtitle tracks I see the same thing. Any subtitle that is only one line long is actually off the screen. 1. You need to fix the coordinates of your subtitles, or at least let the user provide where they should be so we can place them. 2. I noticed that any vob your software creates is wierd, and adobe premiere pro 1.5 is incapable of importing it and tosses out a bad audio track message. Saving project with no audio track also does the same thing. This issue isnt as important to me as having working subtitles though.

Played a DVD burned by PhotoDVD in 3 different players. Subtitles are cut-off on each one, so its not my player. They look fine in preview mode, but like you said before, the preview isnt the same as what you get when you burn the disc. This begs the question: if preview is completely inaccurate, why is it in there? I found a solution to my own problem: download iDVD and iPhoto on a Mac and it makes slideshows, and it doesnt waste 8 hours of your time or cost 25 dollars. So for those playing along at home: dont put up with paying for software that doesnt work and has support that makes you use a forum so they can ignore you. I'll call my credit card company and dispute the 24 dollars charge since VSO delivered a non-working product. Have a day.

Hi there, VSO does monitor these forums, but to open an official tech support, you need to go here: http://www.vso-software.fr/support.php Direct Link: http://download.vso-software.fr/vsorep.exe Using this little tool, will send an email to VSO Tech Support. The reason why some subs titles are cut, are probably caused by your TV OverScan (Google it, lots of sites will explain). Reduce your font size from 24 (Default) to 22 or 20. (Everytime you generate a project) since the default 24 is set everytime you open the software. To do a real test, you need to burn on a RW Media and see the end result on your TV. I also have the OverScan issue on my regular televisions. My 2 cents...

Three different televisions in my house, and three computer monitors, and I have the font set to 12. The default of 24 was too big.

It appears to be a bug in the software and it is being looked into. A bug report has been filed, see http://bugs.vso-software.fr/view.php?id=544
