| I have used Audacity with PhotoDVD. It is simple and very good. Does anyone know of a simple editor (like Audacity) for videos -- a simple video editor that would simply do cut and paste? |

I'd try Windows Movie Maker. It's pretty basic, but it's free! If you haven't already got a firewire card, the $25 you've just saved should be enough  You didn't say what you want to do with your video once you've edited it. If you're planning to make DVDs you'll have to get something with an MPEG2 encoder, and licensing issues mean you have to spend $$. Ian G. |

| Thanks for your advice. What I really want to do is edit my movies and put it on a DVD. Can you tell me something about MPEG2 encoder, and how I might get license; and cost? Thanks again. |
