|
|
| I own an HP a1310 Pavilion w/Lightscribe DVD +- Writer/CD-Writer bundled with Sonic DigitalMedia Plus v7. When burning audio discs, I select one of my playlists from the Quick Find window and drag it into the Add Music window. The track info appears with the requiste data; name, length, performer, composer, etc. I click the continue button, andthe burn process begins. As each track is burned, the program displays "Track 1:[track name] time (1 of number) etc.. Where "number" is the number of tracks being burned. When the burning is completed, and I play the CD in Media Player, the track info is not there??? Media Player displays the "Now Playing" track as "track 1, unknown artist...". Is there some setting I have missed, or is this a bug in Sonic DigitalMedia Plus v7, and is there a fix anybody knows about? The Lightscribe label I create after burning the CD displays the playlist data just fine. Any ideas??? |

| Hi Othello and welcome to our forums. I have no experience of this software but maybe I can offer a few alternatives to see if they help? Try recording the same compilation with an alternative software and see if the track list appears. If you are recording from a CD, you can try Exact audio copy which is my preferred choice. It can 'tag' the files with information from the online music databases available. http://www.exact audio copy.de It's also free and requires little learning for basic usage and can also burn the files after. |

| Thank you SirQUK. I was begining to think I had entered forum purgatory. I have tried burning the disc with Windows Media Player, Windows Media Center (which I assume uses the Media Player software), Itunes, and a freeware program called "Burrrn". The results of using Medida Player & Media Center was that the disc info would appear when the disc was played using Media Center or Mediai Player, Sonic Media Plus would also display the list. Itunes displayed the track info as "Track 1, Track 2", etc.. If the disc was burned using Itunes, Media Player recognized the track info, bit tiht the caveat that it might not be able to play the disc due to the disc's mp4 track format ( I using Media Player v10). The Burrrn software was suggested by another forum, and by your explanation of the "Exact Audio Copy" it sounds very similar. Burrrn differs in that it will allow playlists of a particular format. After adding the track data to the Burrrn selection window and attempting to write it to the disc, I got an err msg relating to a SCSI device not being enabled??? I don't have any such devices on my computer. That being said, I will give "Exact audio copy" a try. Thanks again for the suggestion. |

| Hi NYD and welcome to the forum Thanks for that tip! users experiences are by the way the best way to bug track. @othello27 U need an aspi layer to use burrrn. This is a recording layer the software can access. Exact audio can use window xps burning layer (SPTI). I would try NYDs tip first though as he has the experience with this software. |

| Hi Everybody, I am also having problems with my track info, album and artist info appearing in Media Player. I'm not copying another CD, I'm burning orignal recordings made by us this summer and we are compiling a live CD. Nero happliy records the track info etc., and the Nero media player displays the same information, but Media Player just displays the tracks as track 1 etc. I know I am missing something here because I have CD's that I have bought that have the track list displayed in Media Player. I have searched the preferences in Nero and notice that there is a Joiliet option which has something to do with filenames. As far as I know, audio CD's don't have files, or do they? I do know that the Joilet extensions have something to do with Microsoft. |
