I know there is a chip I can put in the Xbox and it allows games that are copied to be used. Does anyone know of anysofwtare that can copy the X-Box games? Also, what would I copy them to (DVD,CD-r)? I have a friend that actually changed the hard drive in his Xbox. He has like 30 games on there. He doesn't have to even put a game in and if he gets bored. He just deletes one and adds another. I don't want to go through all that though. Bill PS If there is software. Is there any chance it might be free? Just wondering. I know the best dvd rippers on the net, are free.

You don't even need that man.... Soft mod it. Get yourself an old copy of Splinter Cell and it takes 2 minutes max. I have done several. You also would need a modded controller with a USB connector added to it. And then all you have to do is really FTP into your Xbox and access the DVD-Rom through it. I can't remember the website I got everything from. When I find it I will post it.

Hey, I really appreciate it. I mostly did this for a friend of mines kid. I know he would love it. I am into copying DVD's. I can copy anything out there today. If you ever need software for that. Just let me know.. I have links to everything and it is all free. I can even help you get Nero 7 Ultra. Just PM me and I will tell you how. Bill

There is software that will let you backup Xbox games and it is free. However your Xbox will need to be modded. The copying software connects to your Xbox via FTP and reads tha data from the Xbox DVD-Rom.PC DVD-Roms cannot read Xbox games because they are formatted in a different file system,FATX.
