I just bought two, 10 packs of this brand and was just wondering if it is ok to use as long-term archival backups? I would purchase Taiyo Yuden it is unavailable to me for a while.

Hi Cyan and welcome to our forums Sony 1-8x media should be fine if burnt at its rated speed. With what writer are you planning to burn them with?
