Hi, just used DVDRemake Pro 3.3.1 to edit a VideoDVD. It's rock concert from the Band "Warlock", recorded 1985. During this concert there has been a short break, covered by a drum solo. After that, immediately the Song "Evil" starts. When clicking the song "Evil" in the title menu on the original dvd, the dvd player jumps to the drum solo instead of the song, and I don't like that So I searched for the start of the "evil" song in the vob, right-clicked and said "split here". Got a new cell entry, but I still could not navigate to the song using the skip buttons of the DVD Player. Added a new PGC entry for the new cell, now the skip-buttons navigate to the song as desired. Big improvement, fine so far, but I wanted to reach it via the title menu. 1) removed PGC entry of drum solo: DVD Player hangs when clicking on the "evil" entry in the title menu.. that means it jumps to the track, produces a black screen and stalls. 2) removed Cell entry, too - same effect 3) used "Delete Program and block(s)" - same effect Any ideas why this happens? Or even better, a solution? best regards Marc Edit: using v3.3.2 I get the same results

| Change the button command in the title menu to link to program 9 instead of program 8. But depending on the button this can either be a direct link, or it can also be done through registers which makes life a little more difficult.

Hello Marc and welcome to the forums! | Marc wrote: | | 1) removed PGC entry of drum solo: DVD Player hangs when clicking on the "evil" entry in the title menu.. that means it jumps to the track, produces a black screen and stalls. 2) removed Cell entry, too - same effect 3) used "Delete Program and block(s)" - same effect( | Did you fix the Titles table for the VTS after you did this? DRM should have highlighted the chapter that pointed to the deleted program. Do you want to remove the drum solo or just make it so you can't navigate to it? If you want to remove it, you could just use "Cut to here" instead of splitting it and then removing it. This would save you the trouble of fixing your menu.

Hi, many thanks for your answers! | Quote: | | ...or it can also be done through registers which makes life a little more difficult. | Seems so... at least I don't find a way to change the target in the menu structure. | Quote: | | Did you fix the Titles table for the VTS after you did this? DRM should have highlighted the chapter that pointed to the deleted program. | Highlight? Sorry, if I am not mistaken, there is nothing highlighted Funny thing is: all buttons in the menu are linking to PGC #10 which seems to be an empty block?! This block contains a pre-code which could tell me something - if I'd be able to understand what's going on... (see attached pics) Darn, I thought it would be easy | Quote: | | Do you want to remove the drum solo or just make it so you can't navigate to it? | This could be a workaround of course, but I want to maintain the original live-event if possible... best regards Marc

The pop-up error says chapter 8 is referencing an invalid program (the drum solo) that you deleted. | Marc wrote: | | Funny thing is: all buttons in the menu are linking to PGC #10 which seems to be an empty block?! This block contains a pre-code which could tell me something - if I'd be able to understand what's going on... (see attached pics) | There is no PGC 10. You mean 'program 10' in the Root menu. It's a big difference. The Command id column says 3 at program 10. So you look at the Cell command pane at line 3, "Link PGC 3". Hit Ctrl-Space (Open Destination). It'll take you to menu PGC 3. The pre-commands determine where it will go based on the button selection. Since your whole intention is to jump straight to the 'Evil' song (program 9) from the Root menu, you do not have to delete the drum solo. Just leave it alone. You only need to change one place. Go to Titles pane. Expand Title 1. Double-click on Chapter 8 (currently referencing program 8 ). Select PGC 1, program 9. Click OK. See, it's very simple.

Best viewed with open eyes... Thanx for your informations about the program/pgc | toaddub wrote: | Select PGC 1, program 9. Click OK. See, it's very simple. | [/quote] Excellent! After doing it the right way, it works Many thanks, you saved my day! Marc
