Hello all, I am new here, and I was looking to get some info if I can. I just got a new computer, so I dont know all the bells and whistles on it just yet. The problem I am having though, is I just recently installed CloneDVD 2 v2.8.5.1 & AnyDVD v5.8.3.1 I tried to copy several DVDs using single DVDs, and had no problem, but when I tried to copy the same DVDs using DVD+R DLs, I kept getting the same error message: "source data too large" Details: "WriteDVD 14 W2" My computer is Compaq Presario SR1750NX Desktop The DVD writer is: Lite-on TSST Corp. I tried burning at Max speed, and at lower speeds, still got same error. Has anybody else experienced this dillemma?? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi partymonger and welocme to our forums What is the size of the disc you are trying to back up to a DL disc? have you ever looked for updated firmware for your writer? I the sonci software is installed you may have a driver conflist. Sonic install an engine that messes up quite a lot of software at present.

Thanks for the reply Sir. The size file is 7.5 GB, while the Discs hold 8.5 GB. I have looked to find out which firmware I currently have, but cannot locate it anywhere thru my computer, manage, admin tools, etc..., so I am not sure which firmware I have and whether it needs to be updated. Any suggestions on how to find this info?? I too am also thinking it may be a conflict with Sonic software, I have downloaded Nero, and I will uninstall all the Sonic stuff, and try it with Nero on there, and see what happens. Other than that, I am not sure what else to try!!

Go here and download VSO Inspector: http://www.cdr-zone.com/software/cd-dvd_tools/vso_inspector.html Once installed start it up and goto the drive info tab, Here you should se the firmware revision.

Hi partymonger, Probably a dumb question, but have you selected "DVD+R DL" from the dropdown menu (left of the quality bar) of the CloneDVD "Title Configuration" (step 2 of the process) UI? I believe "DVD-5" is the default and I'm not sure if inserting a DL DVD automatically resets it. -Mike
