After exporting a frame from a still menu picture it would be a nice feature to have an option to replace a frame with the exported frame after it has been changed, so one can create or remove options from a menu frame (i.e. add or remove some background text or pictures or create a custom menu picture). I know other programs have these options, but it would be a nice option to have it all in one program like DRM. grtz, Z. Wink

There is no other program that has the functionality you request. It's always a mixture of products you need to get the job done. This has already been brought up lots and lots of times, but please remember, DvdReMake is an DVD-EDITING application, not an DVD-AUTHORING application. Well, that's not 100% true, because you can consider adding vtsés and content as authoring as well, but it's the muxing part that's not available yet. I'm 100% sure, that as soon as DRM is ready to move on to the next level, this will be one of the first options available. In fact, it will probably be the first step in getting DvdReMake to do low-level authoring (in regards to muxing) changes. At the moment, just author in any program you like, and replace it. And let's be honest, is it really that much work to start up a second application that's specifically designed for that purpose...

In fact there are several appz that can import frames that where made or modified, only its a heck of a job converting the VOB to DV format, export a frame, redo it in a photo editor, insert the frame back in the DV formatted file and remux the DV file to VOB, IFO files again. I use DVDlab Pro for this purpose, but it could be a lot easier if DRM had some sort of "replace frame" or "import frame" function. Starting a second app to modify an exported frame is indeed not such a big problem, but what is the sens of exporting a frame in DRM if there's nothing you can do with it but start a photo editor and remodel the .bmp (as a result of the export function) then start an app to insert the frame back at the right place, and use an app to redo the complete DVD remuxing. It would make life a lot easier if such function was implemented in DRM. And yes i know it has been asked before, and yes i even did send a PM to Dimad to ask him if it could be implemented in DRM v 3.x and yes his answer was no because there are lots of apps that let you work on an exported frame. But i am still convinced it'll be a great feature, although i like working with DRM very much but think exporting a frame is pretty useless if you can't import or replace a frame. grtz, Z. Laughing

I sure hope so Dimad, because it'll make live a lot easier. In fact it's the only feature i am really missing in a great application as DRM. And even if it takes time, you have one happy customer here that will always keep using DRM because it's one of a kind and surely the best and most affordable DVD editor i know of. Keep up the great job, Z. Wink

It is still not possible to "import background bitmap" in "one-click", but here is the simple procedure that will do the same with just one additional step (which is convert bitmap into vob using muxman): http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=98280

And what about just deleting one frame ? Can this be done for a near future version ?

Don't think it is something coming any time soon. DRM supports only "VOBU based" editing.
