| I get an error every time I try to encode a wma file into mp3. The encoder just says that Microsoft does not allow the transcoding of WMA files into any other formats. I am using nero 6. Does anybody know how to correct this problem? |

| Hi brynt and welcome to our forums. Have you tried encoding to wave first? It may be that you have a copy protected wma file which needs a different approach. |

| Hi SirQUK and thanks for the welcome note. I cannot encode to wav first cause the wma file will not open at all in nero encoder, it just gives me an erro. I have tried downloading the wma plug-in from Nero, but the file will still not open. |

You may want to give Tunebite a go and see if that helps. This software is designed for copy protected wma files. A brief look through our software section can also bring up a lot of software that might help your cause |
