| Hello, This is my first time posting to this forum and I hope someone can help. I will do my best to describe the problem and things I have tried. I am looking for an actual answer to my problem and not a recomendation to try different software...I understand that some people do not like or recommend NeroVision and that is cool, but that's not my issue in this post. PLEASE, if you feel the need to tell me that NeroVision sucks, then wait for me to create a post on software recomendations I have been authoring DVDs for a few months using avi video files ranging from 350mb to 750mb. I have created about 24 DVDs and never had an issue until a few days ago. When I create this one DVD, NeroVision makes .tmp files that fill my entire hard drive and crash the software. The problem seems to be about 3/4 way through the transcoding. It will start creating .tmp files and not stop...until the hard drive is filled to capacity. We are taling about close to 80gig of .tmp files. The video is an .avi file with the xvid codec (the same as all the other files I have been using)...I can find no difference between this file and any others I have used in the past (or since). I have sucessfully created other DVDs since having the problem...it seems to be local to this one file. The file does not appear to be corrupt in any way. The audio & video codecs are the same as that of working video files I use. I have uninstalled & reinstalled the software with no luck. All drives have been fully defraged & cleaned of all spyware, viruses & clutter. I am using XP Pro SP2 on a P4 2.8 with 1024mb of ram and 80gig free on a 120gig sata drive. Thank you in advance for your help. |

| Did you check your .avi with GSpot? Even if it plays correctly, that doesn't mean that it is a fully compliant movie file... |

| The file has been checked with gspot and the codecs are all installed and match other .avi files that I have used in the past (and since). I'd love to get this stupid thind burned...my set isn't complete with this one causing issues... |

| Usually in cases like this, running the file through virtual dub can help. I know you said you do not require other software, but after running it through virtual dub it could very well be converted with Nero. VideoHelp and Digital Digest have some great articles on how to do this. |
