Sorry if this has been covered...couldn't find it when doing a search. When I convert .avi to .mpeg, my output for an hour TV show is broken down into 2 files. Is there a setting I need to change so it will all be in one file?

No, there is no setting, and there is no need for it. DVD-video files are split to 1G parts to maintain compability with older players. They will play flawless without noticeable break when file changes.
