I've used CloneDVD 2 to make many DVD+R copies already. But two days ago, I downloaded the latest revision (2.8.0.2) and since then, I have burned 3 DVD's, and none of them is being recognized by my DVD player (Xbox). It is only recognized by the DVD-writer drive itself. This is the same hardware set up I have used for a long time. I have never experience this problem before. Afterwards, I went ahead and reformatted my hard drive to start fresh. Even after a fresh install of the applications and device drivers, the same problem persists. Any help would be appreciated. I'm using: HP DVD Writer 300c as the DVD+R Writer JLMS XJ-HD166S as the DVD Reader

Hi ckfried and welcome to our forums. It is really annoying when a well behaving set up suddenly misbehaves. Can I check with you that you have the latest firmware for your writer Here just to rule out a problem with the writer. If the old version was working and the only thing you changed was the version of Clone, It may be worth going back to the older version and see if the problem persists.

I've actually tried using a previous version of CloneDVD that has always worked for me, but the copies are still not being recognized by my standalone DVD player. My set up is the same as it always has been: same DVD writer, reader, blank DVD's, standalone DVD player. Just curious. In general, why do some DVD writers make copies that cannot be recognized by any other DVD player, except itself? I noticed this problem before with another computer setup, but I thought it was just compatibility issues. Have you guys seen this before and how did you resolve it? Thanks in advance.
