| hello all! i have owned photodvd for a while now but haven't used it that much. has always worked fine for me before. just updated to 1.07 this weekend and burned a disc that refused to play. the player stated that it was not an ntsc disc. i reburned the disc making sure that the ntsc option was checked and still it would not play. the frame rate in photodvd states 30 fps for ntsc and it should be i think 29.97 fps. at any rate i am trying to burn it for 4:3 full screen ntsc and it doesn't work. thanks in advance for any suggestions. |

| Hello, Even if PhotoDVD says frame rate is at 30 it is really at 29.97, so that is not an issue. VSO has not come into this problem, and has tested already to see if this could cause a problem before releasing the new version. I don't think this is a media issue, but has that changed? Do you have the option to change NTSC or PAL on the DVD player. On the TV the correct needs to be selected also. Try to read the compiled slideshow with PowerDVD and see if it plays there. If so, then this is a burning problem most likely. See this thread for more help on how to preview a slideshow before burning it: http://www.cdr-zone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1611 Claire |

| concerning the dvd players i own, there is no option for selecting pal or ntsc. the disc will not play in the one player, saying that the disc is not an ntsc disc, it will play in the other player, but the images are distorted. i can compile a slide show with photodvd, run it thru a dvd authoring program and then burn it and it plays perfectly on either player. my dvd wtiter i don't think is an issue as i have burned over 200 discs with it and everyone has played flawlessly on my standalone players. and the media i am using is the same media that i have been using with no problems nor is it the first disc out of a new spindle. |
