| I have a file made up of numerous mpegs stitched together. When I play it back, the audio is in sync perfectly. But when I try to convert it to DVD, I get numerous "timestamp discontinuity" errors and the audio gets badly out of sync on playback. How can I correct this? Thanks in advance. |

Stitching mpegs together does not produce continuing timestamp, you just get lots of timestamps that start from one stitchpoint and end at next. You need to use TMPGEnc or other similar program to combine your mpegs, that will produce continuing timestamp. |

This is what I did: ( have 71 mpg clips, taken from vidcam capture.) - renamed them all to sort properly by date (don't ask) - joined them with a freeware package called "combimove" - input to divxtodvd Obviously combmovie didn't join them properly. I also tried selecting all the files into divxtodvd directly, but it doesn't respect the order (mixes them all up). I want them to be sequential, they are clips of my kids growing up. Any other ideas would be appreciated! [/quote] |

| You get them sequentially by adding them one by one. And it is WINDOWS that messes it when selecting multiple files. Try selecting them and copying them somewhere - you'll find that windows copies from both ends instead of from first to last... |

| Update: I used the mpeg merge in TMPGEnc and everything worked flawlessly! Thanks for the suggestion. |
