HI all I'm new here I have many xsvcd that I want to put on a dvd to play on a stand alone DVD player I know that stand alone players read VOB files, so my question is 1) how do I make an xsvcd file into a readable vob file 2) how do I put these multiple vob's onto a dvd R in such a way as to create a menu where I can select which of the many titles on the dvd that I wanna watch ??? ----- as I dont want to put each xsvcd onto a seperate dvd as i'll waste 4gb space on each disc ( each of my xsvcd files are about 500 mb ) I have nero 6 as a dvd burn program and also NTI dvd gold and also have something called IFOedit which I have never used Please help Regards Stefanchik

Hello Stefanchik, Welcome to the forums Smile In order to make a DVD that plays in a DVD player, you need to do more than just convert to VOB files. The DVD must be authored to create the whole DVD structure, including the VOB files and their associated IFO files. If my memory serves me correct, XSVCD is a hack of the SVCD format where the bitrate is jacked up to DVD levels. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here. I'm not claiming to be an expert on this, but I know of two ways that you could do what you want to do. There is a program called SVCD2DVD (http://www.svcd2dvd.com/). I'm assuming that it will work with XSVCD. I know you can also import SVCD's into DVD Lab. This is not exactly a one-click solution, but DVD Lab has excellent menu creation ability. I'm sure there are other authoring programs that will import SVCD's also...DVD Lab is just one that I'm very familiar with. I'm sure others will have other suggestions, these are just two that I know of. Good luck.
