Hi, Just used DivXToDVD to convert some 1280x780 mpegs, and let me say.. IT ROCKS! However, I was wondering if there was some way to control the quality of the resulting file. Currently, the file I get after converting a slightly less than two hour game of football is a few megabytes too large for a DVD (4.4 real GB). I'd like to either cut the game in half, put it on two DVDs, and thus boost the quality setting... or slightly lower the quality so I can fit the whole thing on one DVD. What are my options? And how exactly does DivXToDVD determine what quality and output file size to target for? Or does it try to be as lossless as possible? Thanks, James

As normal DVD is 'only' 720*480 NTSC and 720*576 PAL, you could resize those mpegs. Even HDTV is max. 1080*X, those files are WAY too large to be usable anywhere else than on a computer. Still, there is a maximum amount of data that can be fit on DVD. Easiest way might be to use some editor and cut some slack off from those videos. Few megabytes shaves off easily from those files... (end credits, commercial, "blank" moments etc.)
