I have a wedding DVD I'm trying to author for a customer. Right now it is split across 2 DVDs. I want to merge the two of them together, DVDshink them, and reburn. Everything worked great (I just bought v2.6.4 pro, excellent product!). All but one tiny thing, and it's keeping me from delivering the DVD to the customer. There's an audio glitch between the PGCs that I merged. It's a 1/4 second of white noise. I thought it was the DVD or player, but I get the same noise when I play it with PowerDVD or IFOEdit from the VIDEO_TS.IFO. There's no pause in the video. And, I don't hear the white noise on the original Disc 1 or Disc 2 files. Help!

Welcome to the forum, ggaffield. How did you merge disks? 1. full merge (using "Merge Dvds"); 2. copy/paste movie PGC 3. append copied PGC Sounds like you've used 2. 3 is probably the better option. Do you have same streams in both movies?

Hi, and thanks for the Welcome! I imported each of the DVDs and created a new project by copy and pasting (add copied PGC) the two PGCs into the new project. I tried it 2 different ways. First I copying to "Program Chains", such that I ended up with PCG 1 and PGC 2. Changed "Seemless" to yes and "Command" to 0 on the last cell of PGC 1. This worked, but when played on a spandalone DVD player, there was significant pause (ok, just a second) and audio white noise. So I tried it a second way. I copied the first PGC to the new "Program Chains", then I copied the second PGC to "PCG 1", which appended the cells to PGC 1. I again, changed the "seemless" and "command" as mentioned before. I did not try playing it on a standalone play since I still noticed the white noise on the local PowerDVD (etc.) players. I'm not sure what you mean by the "same streams". Since I am also the author of the DVD I'm trying to merge. I have "some" control over that process. I thought that maybe I needed to fade the audio to zero at the end of the first DVD, but I tried that, and I still ended up with the white noise between. -Glenn
