Hi everyone, I was just curious on whether anyone contacted VSO's support service? If so what was their reply?

I have no problems. Did you have old version installed to same directory before? I did, just installed new over it. Might be just an update package instead of full install.

to anyone still having this problem i got an email from techincal support, it didn't work for me but hopefully someone else will have some luck Smile "Uninstall the software using Windows Add/Remove programs and reboot, then navigate to C:\Program Files\vso and delete the DivxToDVD folder. Once that is done download the latest build from the following link and install it then reboot again before retesting. http://vso.nerim.net/vsoDivxToDVD_setup.exe"

If you run anything which puts an overlay on the screen turn it off to stop the access violation e.g. FRAPS fixed mine

Well spotted, xammad! I noticed it too that there's a problem with Avast, but I think it's the realtime protection that causes the problem...Because if you check your task manager, you'll notice that the ashserv.exe sevice is still running, even if Avast is disabled....... Not a real big deal for me,since I prefer to encode/decode with as much systray programs as possible closed...
