A nice feature would be, if you enable the usage of avatars. Upload on my own webspace is no problem.

Avatars would be nice and can be enabled, but we always thought no avatars made the site a little 'cleaner' and you know, when ppl use avatars, theres a lot more checking to be done to make sure none are too big or offensive to anyone. I will have aword with DiviDeZeRO when hes back off holiday and see what we can do Wink

I know some people do go overboard with large or animated avatars. perhaps some size restrictions could be put in. at doom9 its somthing like 25k or 70x70 pixels. Its just something that people seem to like. it adds personality to ones profile.

I have enabled avatars ( I hope ) from linked webspace as a trial and sent everyone an email to see what they think. File restrictions are set at 70x70 as suggested. I hope to hear some feedback in this thread from users and see some un offending avatars Smile Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting

Yeah I tried one of my dogs pics but it didn't do them justice as it was too small. Maybe 70x70 is too small? That said, mine seems ok if a little boring compared to Mr Fixers... Wheres KT when ya need him huh?

No Problem Wink I hope it helps make the forum a litle nicer. If anyone has issues about hosting their avatars I used Img Shack ( http://imageshack.us/ ) to host my poor attempt at an avatar Embarassed

Poor being the operative word Smile If we run into trouble with people hosting avatars I can host a good many on my own web site and provide links if required.

Cheers for the offer MI5 - I really can't say what we need as Da boss has not been in contact yet so I'll let everyone know asap! There's a few things that could be done to make the forum 'friendlier' but it's all down to bandwidth and offers like yours help Smile
