|
|
| Hello, I'm using DivXToDVD for eps of Joey, firts 5 eps -> no problems. With the 6th I'm getting this error: 'Header damaged". The ep plays fine on my cpu, is there a way to fix the header or a way to let DivXToDVD encode it anyway? Tnx |

| I have also had those reports; just let DivXtoDVD convert it anyway, check result before burning. I have done that many times, everytime result being good. Real problem comes when DivXtoDVD is NOT converting at all. |

| Ah, so you have those new Xvids that have packed headers. Then you need a program to change those to unpacked. Simple tool to do this is MPEG4 modifier. Download from authors pages: http://www.moitah.net/ Simple and fast to use, just load file in it, check if headers are packed. Then change them to unpacked and save it back. You can also change header information with that proggy. Oh, you need .NET to get it working. |

Thanks, I like to help if I can. And I had that same problem, found it when I tried to play those XviDs with my Yamada6600. It played them, but picture was jerking like bad lagging game. Then I tried DivXtoDVD and found that it is not opening them neither. So it was Googletime, and I found that tool. Great and simple tool, as it does not repack file so it works fast. Just load and save. |

| Yep, same problem here. I d/l the other eps of Joey, ep 6->10 don't work. 10, 11 & 12 work ok. Can I send more info (like navpacks for a DVD) to resolve this problem? |

Hmm.. what does MPEG4Modifier report as User Data on those files? It is possible that there is something badly wrong with those eps; someone might have been messing with them when trying to fix that packed bitstream. Not succeeding, and still putting them to share. |

I downloaded eps 6 of Joey - 174 GSpot reported it being 1 vid frame (42ms) MPEG4Modifier is unpacking it fine; but DivXtoDVD is not converting. Video Info: Packed bitstream: Yes QPel: No GMC: No Interlaced: No Aspect ratio: Square pixels Quant type: H.263 I-VOPs: 336 (1,08%) P-VOPs: 11157 (35,94%) B-VOPs: 19551 (62,98%) S-VOPs: 0 (0,00%) N-VOPs: 0 (0,00%) Max consecutive B-VOPs: 2 1 consec: 16,25% 2 consec: 83,75% Compared to SG1-episode that is also packed bitstream: Packed bitstream: Yes QPel: No GMC: No Interlaced: No Aspect ratio: Square pixels Quant type: H.263 I-VOPs: 703 (1,12%) P-VOPs: 22775 (36,27%) B-VOPs: 39321 (62,61%) S-VOPs: 0 (0,00%) N-VOPs: 0 (0,00%) Max consecutive B-VOPs: 2 1 consec: 17,73% 2 consec: 82,27% -- There really is not real difference. Seems that at the moment all you can do is use VirtualDub to process that file and TMPGEnc to create videofiles. Or just wait until new version of DivXtoDVD is released... BTW; DivXtoDVD 0.3.0.13 seems to be able to convert packed bitstream.
