| First off, I'd like to say the product alrady seems excellent. I was initially concerned to see that the size of the vob files it produced seemed too small, but after viewing the results the quality doesn't seem to have suffered. In fact the quality seems better than some other tools that have created a full 4.3 Gb of vobs from the same .avi. Putting chapters every 5 minutes was always a task I'd wished for from other tools I'd tried, so well done for that too. However, the feature that's not there which would really make it stand out against the alternatives would be if it could convert .idx and .sub files with the .avi to give a DVD with subtitles. Any chance of this happening? |

| I just went to this forum to say exactly liky you about subtitles. I have not yet encountered a divx/xvid converter which is able to put subtitles onto dvd. I also like to see this in near future. I'm not native English and most movies are in English, so it would greatly appreciated to those like me who are foreign to the English language! |

| i love this program. its the fastest tool i've ever use for this... but it doesn't support subtitles yet. and i say yet because i know you guys are working on that. congratulations for the amaizing work.. one more thing... please work on the "more than one file movie" problem.. i know i just have to use an avi joiner but.. come on.. the gratest thing of this program is the simplicity.. lets keep it that way.. | I really don't see a problem here except lack of subtitles. More than one movie? You mean batch-conversion of fitting several movies to one dvd? Batch is not so much needed. You can simply start multiple DivXtoDVD sessions and let them all convert at same time. OK; it's not as easy as selecting multiple files but hey, it's possibility! But to stay on topic; yes, subtitle support is something that would make this good great progam an awesome tool! There is NO simple way at the moment to include subtitles. Not with ANY tool. |

Most AC3 movies come in two different files. Selecting multiple files would be much easier instead of joining first and (later) merging your subs too. | Quote: | | But to stay on topic; yes, subtitle support is something that would make this good great progam an awesome tool! There is NO simple way at the moment to include subtitles. Not with ANY tool. | With all tools that do things via DirectX subs can be included. Just use Vobsub or any other subtitle tool together with WinAVI, DVDSanta or any other and your subtitles are in. Both selecting multiple files and subtitle support via Vobsub (a-like tools) would make this a killer tool. |

| This really is by far the best converter program i've found. If you really need subtitles support before it's integrated into this app then there a tool out there called DVDSanta that will take .srt files (not .idx and .sub - you can convert these into srt though). I would really like to see the option for converting more than one File at a time. This would help those that have films split over two files but more importantly it would allow for batch converting. YOu could set up a number of films and let them all convert one after the other. specially useful when you are dealing with episodes of tv programs. Fantastic tool though! |

This is for burning films that are split into multiple files or simple putting multiple videos on 1 DVD. - Batch converting: Make DivxToDVD able to prepare a whole bunch of 'sessions' where multiple files can be converted for multiple DVD's during the night/weekend. |

| Yeah - and to get D.I.K.O. working at all you need a dozen external programs. Not easy and simple to me. |

| Hi, yes we will take care of the subtitle, in a further version, we implemented first the multiple files, and we will do the internal burning engine.. and then later we will add more option and subtitles . but I don't have ETA ... |

| That's great news about the eventual implementation of subtitles. Could this also include subtitles for across multiple .avi's? |

Hey, I just came accross here (looking for info on when Subtitles\Menus may be added into the program (would take out all need for other programs)... For those who want to add subtitles a good guide I have found is @ http://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=245188 From memory you start at Step 4 (before is about RIPPING a dvd but yeah it is fair bit the same.) To turn subtitles on just click SUBTITLE button on your remote easy done |
