Its working now.

at this time i would like to recomend that all users request a reg key for offline activation.

this will enable you to reactivate the software even if the website goes down, temporarily,or not....

I registered online and received an email with the attached registration key file. I downloaded the key and it said it was successfully entered into the registry. However I made the mistake of downloading DVD95 again and reinstalling it over the activated one. Now it won't activate online and I don't know how to use the reg key or even find it.

The email that I received with the registration key said that after the reiteration key has been entered into the registry "Then run Dvd95Copy and you will find your name under the 'registered to' string. If so, all shareware restrictions are automatically removed from your version. Please help. I can't activate it.

This is my first visit to this forum since we all thought DVD95Copy rode off into the dvd ripping graveyard so I was surprised to hear that it was back after just about everyone had written it off. I'm trying to catch up on what the deal is now with this story.

What exactly is the latest version right now??

When I type in http://www.dvd95copy.com I get nothing. I don't even get the "cannot display page" message. I literally get nothing, but a blank white screen.

When I type in http://www.dvd95copy.com/index.html I get the old familiar main screen. When I click download and input my email and transaction ID, it offers version 148 to me, which was the last version I had before this whole mess started. That obviously will not help me today if that's the same version I have had for months now.

Is this a 'different' version 148 or is something still wrong here? Or am I doing something wrong??

This was the version I was using when I authored my Vantage Point post

http://www.cdr-zone.com/forum/about10038.html

I have since been using 1click dvdcopy because I thought dvd95copy was dead and buried. So far it's worked on everything I've tried, including Vantage Point. I didn't want to end up with a bunch of coasters if dvd95copy was going to start working on less and less titles since it wasn't being supported anymore with updates. I honestly don't remember if I even bothered to try dvd95copy on any releases newer than Vantage Point because 1click dvdcopy was working well and I figured why mess with what's working. Maybe the next time I need it I will try it again on a new release and see if I get lucky.
